How to Win at Craps
Winning at craps can seem a daunting feat for a newcomer to the game. The betting combinations over a large table and complex layout can send even the most seasoned roulette players running. However, there are a lot of easy to remember rules one can employ to keep their game fresh, exciting and rewarding.
Play on your Advantages
When making simple bets on don`t pass and pass, always remember to make minimum bets on don`t pass and the larger bets on pass. The logic behind this is, the player has the edge in probability on pass bets, where the dealer has the edge on don`t pass. Don’t pass bets are only successful 1:3 on the first throw, where as the pass bet will see you with a highly probable 2:3.
Second Throw
If you were lucky enough to make it to the next throw your best bet for easy winning is either the 6 or the 8. This is because after the first throw, the dealer`s edge is drastically increase except for the 6 and 8. Though the dealer still remains more likely to win, his edge is only slightly over 1%, making it a relatively even opportunity. Because of this almost equal chance, the 6 and 8 aren`t high pay – but they`re safe. There are, however, some bets better than others. Betting on 6, 5, 8, or 9 are low risk. 4 and 10 are slightly better for the dealer so your return is greater than the others.
Play to Lose
By betting on the probability of the thrower losing, you can make quick and easy money. This is because of the multiple combinations of 7s that are likely to appear each throw – once again because you are playing with the odds there isn`t much return in these bets.
Center table Bets
Betting on the center table may make for an exciting game, and sometimes if a table is hot it may feel like the best bet but this is false. The center table, though has very high pay-outs, is incredibly unlikely to hit. For example, horn betting on either 2 or 12 has a low 35:1 chance of the roller landing.
Another important rule to remember is to keep in mind your bankroll. If you play with 100 dollars and lose 50, walk away from the table. If you win 50, then put 75 in your pocket and keep playing with the other 75! This way, even if you are on a losing streak, you won`t ever have lost more than 25 dollars. Many people start playing craps with unrealistic expectations of winning. Casino experts say that if you are able to make a 20% or up, you have done well. Using this system you can quickly pocket your original bankroll and play on just winnings, meaning you never will really lose.
If a player keeps his wallet in check and focuses on smart and semi-optimistic bets, you can earn a very handsome winning in craps.
