How to Win at Roulette
Roulette is a game of patience, smart prediction and understanding probability. A combination of all three is the only way to assure a success game of roulette.
The most common mistake people make at the roulette table is decide their bets based on what is topical to the game. If a black 24 hasn’t been played in quite some time, a player may decide to take a gamble on it on the presumption that it may come around. This type of thinking will leave you shirtless. This is because the best strategy for roulette requires you to refrain from making wild bets, as they usually have a very low probability of landing.
Many people tend to bet on the probability of the roulette ball landing on a certain number, colour or suit. For example, if you place a bet on either red or black, your odds are close to fifty percent that you will choose correctly. Both odd or even and black or red are the lowest risk bets on the table. Conversely, choosing a single number of any color will yield a probability of just over two percent.
It is possible to bet on more than one number, in the form of a Split (2 numbers), Street (3), Corner (4), First Five (5) and Six Line (6). Each time you add a new number to your bet, you increase you odds by a little less than half. Here we’ll see how betting a strategic mix of very specific numbers and common suits and simple outside bets can help maximize your chances of success.
Outside Bets
Making outside bets is a perfect beginners strategy because it is easy to keep track of and the odds are in your favor; however, because the payout is 1:1 you won`t make money very fast. One technique is to predict how many times you can possibly fail in a row. The longest consecutive suit run was 26 reds in a row! That’s a very unlikely number to achieve, so if you place minimum bets on either red or black and lose, simply play the next hand on the same suit with a minimum bet plus the loses of your last bet. This way you`re always just playing to make up what you`ve lost plus a minimum bet. It’s a slow way to play, but if you have the patience, you can walk away with an impressive victory.
Combination Bets
By combining outside bets with Six-Lines on specific columns, it’s possible to occupy a great deal of the betting board and have a high probability of one of your numbers be chosen. This tactic can be very confusing to keep track of. For example, if place one bet on black and one bet on the entirety of column 3 (which has red 8 numbers) you have 26 numbers that can be hit, 4 of which are covered twice. You can even apply the same technique to betting one on red and one on the entirety of column 1. This will lower your number to 24 on the table, but you’ll have 6 numbers which are repeated. This style of spreading your bet may not be a huge payout, but it will be things interesting on the table, and you are likely to walk away with more than you came.
Forming tactic such as this is the key to winning roulette on a beginner and an advanced level.
